According to Ming-Chi Kuo, a trusted analyst, Apple’s 2021 models may feature displays with faster refresh rates and a smaller notch.

Kuo says Apple intends to launch similar models like the iPhone 12 including the mini model which proved to be a misstep in terms of marketing.

The iPhone 13 Pro and the Pro max will feature a 120 Hz display with the help of the power-efficient LTPO technology. The iPhone 13 models will also feature a smaller notch which has remained unchanged since the launch of the iPhone X.

If you are someone who prefers notch-less display will have to wait till 2022, when according to Kuo iPhones will shift to hole-punch display just like Samsung Galaxy’s S21 models.

The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max are also said to include an upgraded ultra-wide camera. Instead of a 5MP f2.4 fixed focus sensor, Apple will introduce a 6MP f1.8 sensor that supports autofocus. Kuo also says the new iPhone 13 models will have larger battery capacities and lightning ports with the upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon X60 modem. However, speaking about iPhone’s display, Kuo seems to be doubtful about Apple’s introduction of in-display touch Id sensors.

“We believe that the iPhone will significantly improve the user experience if it adopts the power button with the TOUCH ID sensor,” Kuo said in an investor note. “However, currently, there is no visibility on the timing of adopting this new specification.

In this current scenario, where masks are an integral part of our lives, FACE ID becomes impractical in public spaces. Thus, users have called on the company for the reintroduction of TOUCH ID.

Kuo is usually accurate with his information and predictions but the truth will only shine when the time is right. Till then stay tuned with us as we keep you updated.
