As people are advised to stay at home they are keeping themselves busy in various ways like playing games, streaming content, etc. In view of this Many streaming services such as YouTube have reduced the maximum streaming quality to 480p. This would help to waive off some congestion from internet traffic.

YouTube 480p streaming

YouTube has announced to reduce quality last week. The reduced streaming quality was first observed in some parts of the UK, Europe, and Switzerland. Now, the video quality restriction is extending to India as well, where we can stream in a maximum 480p resolution.

People are seeing this implementation mostly on Android or iOS i.e. on their mobile devices. Moreover, HD options are disappearing from YouTube APP. Though Desktop users are still able to use the HD options.

This action is seen after other stream services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime have reduced their streaming quality.
