Xiaomi and Oppo to come up with their own in-house developed chipset

DigiTimes have cited the sources from respective companies and revealed that Xiaomi and Oppo are trying to develop their own chips to power their smartphones.

This is not the first time for Xiaomi to do this as they had their Surge S1 chip back in 2017 that powered their Mi 5c smartphone.
These plans are already in effect and the two companies may unveil their own 5G chipsets by the end of the year or in 2022 in the latest
