Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 with 5G capability for Budget Devices
Qualcomm is one of the biggest known SoC manufacturers. It provides some best in class SoCs for mobile devices. Recently we have seen Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, a flagship SoC. Now we have Snapdragon 690 SoC for budget devices.
5G is still a dream for many users in various countries. They are still working on providing 5G networks but before that, we have 5G ready phones, Nice very very nice. Though it's the advancement of technology so, cannot comment more on this.
With this latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 budget devices will have 5G support. It’ll only support the slower sub-6GHz versions of 5G, not the faster mmWave standard. Qualcomm says it’ll offer 20 percent better CPU performance and 60 percent faster graphics rendering compared to the Snapdragon 675.
With the help of this SoC device, the manufacturer can give a better option to the users with 5G capability. The Snapdragon 690 will support 120Hz displays for faster refresh rates, along with 4K HDR video capture (both a first for the 6-series). The Snapdragon 690 will also enable up to 192-megapixel cameras on midtier devices.
HMD, LG, Motorola, Sharp, and TCL are some companies, which are planning to provide devices with this processor later this year.
