Apple iPhone 12 price leaks, tipped to be the most affordable flagship iPhone in years

According to a new leak, It has revealed that there looks like there could be 4G and 5G versions of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max and that the iPhone 12 4G is going to retail for $549, while the 4G iPhone 12 Max is going to ring in at $649.This could make the iPhone 12 4g version the most affordable iPhone in the main lineup after the release of iPhone X and could give a tough competition to iPhone SE(2020)

Interestingly, @omegaleaks isn't the only one to have pegged such an aggressive price point for the new iPhones. Earlier, even Jon Prosser had speculated a $649 price point for the entry-level 5.4-inch iPhone 12. These reports also fall in line with previous predictions from industry experts. Case in point, an analyst note from Daniel Ives of Wedbush Securities which has predicted that there could be a cheaper version of the iPhone 12 with a 5.4-inch display for 2020. In the note, Ives also predicted that this affordable iPhone will be the same as the others, however, it will not come with support for 5G.

Apart from this, previous reports have claimed the iPhone 12 could come in four models spread across three different sizes. As per the new report, there will be a 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max, while the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch phones will be the 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. All four phones could sport the same iPhone X like design, with an all-screen display and a notch to house the Face ID mechanism.

The iPhone 12 is expected to get 120Hz ProMotion display, however, this feature is being tipped to be exclusive to the 6.1 and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro phones. Reports claim that the ProMotion screens will feature dynamic refresh rate switching allowing them to switch between 60Hz and 120Hz depending on the task at hand.
