The silicon maker, Qualcomm is expected to unveil the Snapdragon 732 mobile platform in September as per the tipster on Twitter (Chun). The Snapdragon 732G will be the successor to the popular mid-range processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 730G. Finally, the source says that the Snapdragon 732G chip should be launched in the Vietnamese market during the month of September. There is still no certainty about this rumor’s veracity. But if it is true, we will have more news about this new chip soon.

The first phone with the new Snapdragon 732G chipset will be available in Vietnam according to the tipster and it is likely to go on sale in the month of September and the pricing is said to be less than $300 (~Rs22,400). Although we can’t say if the tipster is 100% right here, we expect slightly more improvements in the actual product itself that will enhance the overall user experience.

We first came across this report from Twitter leakster, @Boby25846908. Gooing through his profile, he seems to have much interest in leaks. However, we can not attest to the credibility of this leak. Since this chip comes with the “G” letter, we expect it to have some sort of gaming optimization.

Rumored specifications

It will be an octa-core chipset with two Kryo 470 gold cores clocked at 2.3GHz and six Kryo 470 silver cores clocked at 1.8GHz. It is said to come with an 8 nm fabrication processor, similar to the Snapdragon 730G SoC. It is also rumored to pack in the same Adreno 618 as found in the last generation. We can expect Qualcomm to boost the GPU clock speed by a bit here.

. According to this rumor, the company’s new SoC would be equipped with:

  • 2 X Kyro 470 Gold cores.
  • It has a base frequency of 2.3 GHz,
  • 6 X Kyro 470 Silver,
  • It has 1.8 GHz clock speed
  • 8 nm lithography
  • paired with an Adreno 618 GPU.
  • The chip will reportedly make its debut alongside a ~US$300 smartphone this September.
  • Further, to keep the price and production cost under control, the chipset will be supporting 4G networks only. And, the 5G capabilities should be taken care of by the successor of the Snapdragon 765G.

What about competitors?

In recent years, Qualcomm has been in a dominant position in mid-to-high-end mobile phone chips. However, as MediaTek Dimensity series unveils several best-selling 5G chips, its market share is rising. However, Qualcomm seems to be planning to launch more processors to enhance market competitiveness. According to recent reports, Qualcomm plans to launch a new mobile phone chip in September. This smartphone chip is called Snapdragon 732G.

While MediaTek is busy pumping out new SoC by the month, things are fairly quiet on the Qualcomm side of the aisle. Releases have been few and far between, although the company successfully launched the affordable 5G-ready Snapdragon 690 chip not too long ago. An internet tipster says that there is a new chip called the Snapdragon 732G in the works. It is also said to come with better Better AI processing. Since it is a gaming-centric chipset and comes under the G(gaming) series, we can expect
