POCO has confirmed the launch of its first-ever budget 5G handset, the POCO M3 Pro 5G. This is also the first 5G device in the "M-series". The company plans to hold a global launch event on May 19 to announce the POCO M3 Pro 5G smartphone. The event will begin at 20:00 GMT+8 and will be streamed live through POCO’s Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube channels.

The official posters released by the brand reveals that the POCO M3 Pro 5G will feature a 6.5-inch Full HD+ resolution screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. It has a centrally aligned punch-hole display with a DynamicSwitch feature that will allow the device to automatically adjust the refresh rate depending on the content. It is also confirmed to be powered by a 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset.

Previously leaked renders revealed a two-tone design on the back panel, a vertical camera module with the POCO branding beneath it. It has a 48MP triple camera system with an LED flash and is expected to be available in three colors namely black, yellow, and blue.

There are rumors claiming that the POCO M3 Pro 5G will be released as a rebranded version of Redmi Note 10 5G. The latter features a 90Hz 6.5-inch IPS LCD FHD+ display, Dimensity 700 chipset, 4 GB / 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB / 128 GB of storage. As for the camera, it has 48MP + 2MP + 2MP triple camera system along with a 8MP front camera. It has a battery backup of 5,000mAh that supports 18W fast charging.
