POCO is all set to launch the POCO M3 Pro 5G soon in the global market. According to an exclusive interview with Android Central, Global Manager Kevin Xiaobo Qiu and Angus Ng revealed that POCO is expected to release the POCO M3 Pro in global markets by the end of 2020. But it seems it may launch quite soon, on May 19.

The POCO M3 Pro 5G is going to be the first budget 5G device from the brand and also the first under the "M-series" to offer a high screen refresh rate. Moreover, the company executives revealed plans about revamping the User Interface.

POCO New UI

POCO currently uses the MIUI and has included several features based on user reviews in addition to standard MIUI features. The company claims it will continue to add exclusive features to the app, but the operating system will be based on MIUI. For the sake of distinction, the MIUI may be renamed to POCO UI.

Angus Ng talks about the possibility of designing a unique UI from scratch but says it's only possible depending on POCO's gain of substantial market share.

"We are going to add some special features to make MIUI for POCO into a more exclusive look for our customers. It will still be based on MIUI's codebase, but we're looking at exclusive features for the upgraded interface. We are still collecting a lot of feedback from our community and social media on what they would like to change," Angus says in the interview.

First look

Furthermore, Tipster Ishan Agarwal had posted a tweet on Wednesday with POCO M3 Pro 5G renders. According to the photos, the device features a punch-hole cutout display with the front camera placed at the top center of the screen.

Also, the POCO M3 Pro 5G will have a triple-camera setup at the rear with a LED flash, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 5G branding on the device's back panel. The device features a quite unique design with a dual-tone finish and slim body. The renders show the color variants available in blue, yellow, and black.
