OnePlus has been rumored to be working on upcoming smartphone models for 2021. There have been reports on models dubbed OnePlus Nord 2 and Nord CE 5G, however, not much has been revealed about them.

Back in April, there was a report claiming the launch of the OnePlus Nord 2 in 2021 featuring a Dimensity 1200 chipset. Now, tipster Digital Chat Station has reasserted that OnePlus is indeed working on releasing a smartphone featuring a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset.

According to Digital Chat Station (via Mukul Sharma on Twitter), the new OnePlus smartphone is expected to release soon. It is not clear whether the device would be named Nord 2 or Nord CE 5G but as per Mukul Sharma, the phone is expected to launch in mid-June. Additionally, this new model could launch in India as well.

Predecessor OnePlus Nord was launched in India at a price point of Rs. 25,000, featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G. The Nord also featured a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a quad-camera setup with a 48MP primary camera, and a 4,115mAh battery with Warp Charge 30W fast charging support.
