Google Maps will let you fix incorrect details by drawing on it
Imagine you are late for a party, you have your friend's place on the google map and after following it for some time, you hit a dead end. But how's that even possible? The map seems to show a road leading straight ahead. Frustrating right?
Now no more, as Google Maps makes it even easier to amend the maps. According to a blog post, the new update will allow users to add missing roads and delete or rename incorrect ones. "This feature is rolling out over the coming months in more than 80 countries where people can already report road updates on Google Maps.", said Google.
Presently, you can add a missing road by dropping a pin and typing in the road's name to submit it to Google. You can also rename a wrongly-named road and add any further useful details. Google will receive your submission and verify within 7 days.
Along with this, Maps has introduced two other features. "Photo updates" is a feature that will allow users to leave a short description about a place by adding a recent snapshot. Also, now you can leave reviews and updates as part of a community challenge called the "Local Love Challenge"
