ASUS Zenfone 8 will feature an IP68 rating

ASUS has confirmed that its upcoming compact flagship smartphone, the Zenfone 8 will feature an IP68 rating. In its latest tease on Twitter, ASUS has revealed that the Zenfone 8 will have an IP68 rating that can withstand dust, dirt, sand, and water immersion up to a depth of 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes.

The water-resistance feature will be a great addition to ASUS smartphones considering the fact that they did not include this feature for years, even before the Zenfone 6.

Previous teasers have also confirmed that the Zenfone 8 will have an audio jack, high refresh rate display, and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. The teasers have suggested a punch-hole cut display rather than the Flip-camera mechanism introduced in Zenfone 6.

Earlier reports have mentioned the launch of two models, a compact 5.9-inch display Zenfone 8 and a 6.7-inch display Zenfone 8 Pro where the latter may feature a refresh rate of 144Hz.
