By making the cover screen more useful, it allows owners of clamshell flippers to navigate from "A" to "B," read notifications, create messages and read incoming ones all without having to open their clamshell to access the larger internal display. That saves time and in theory, it could save battery life.

It's no surprise that the competition is heating up in the clamshell foldable sector of the market. After all, the most popular foldable phones in the world over the last two years were the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4. With the larger cover screen, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 could continue the streak.

Last month Google Pixel product manager George Hwang said at Google I/O that the company has an interest in producing a clamshell foldable to go along with the Pixel Fold which will be released next Tuesday. That is something to keep an eye out for.

OPPO Find N3 Flip Render Fake

Recently a render image of the upcoming OPPO Find N3 Flip smartphone has been surfacing online and now the well-known tipster on the Twitter platform, Evan Blass who is officially known as “@evleaks” has declared the render image to be “FAKE”.

OPPO Find N3 Flip design  

The OPPO Find N3 Flip will feature a similar clamshell design as the Find N2 Flip, barring the camera setup. The render, based on an early EVT (Engineering Validation Test – a test done during the prototyping stage of a device), shows the OPPO Find N3 in Black with the same clamshell-folding design and a large exterior display. We see rounded edges with the OPPO and Hasselblad branding on the bottom rear.The major difference here is that there are three rear cameras as opposed to the dual-camera setup on the OPPO Find N2 Flip. 

OPPO Find N3 Flip specifications 

Based on information that the OPPO Find N3 Flip will carry a similar set of specs as the Find N2 Flip barring the camera, here’s what we can expect.

• Display: 8-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 3.26-inch AMOLED screen on the front panel. 
• Processor:MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Plus 
• RAM and Storage: The smartphone could pack up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB storage. 
• Battery: 4,300mAh battery with 44W fast wired charging support.
• Cameras:50MP + 8MP + 32MP setup on the rear. In addition to the triple rear cameras, there’s a 32MP front camera expected on the inside of the foldable.

There’s not much information on the OPPO Find N3 Flip launch timeline and price, but we should know more about that in the coming days.
