Several Chinese smartphone makers are already testing the Snapdragon 888 successor
Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station is reporting that various Chinese smartphone manufacturers are working on the successor of Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. The chipset is supposed to be based on a 4nm process. He also claims that the progress made with the new SoC is more significant than the leap between the Snapdragon 865 and last year’s Snapdragon 888.
This new chipset is supposed to be powered by Qualcomm’s new ARMv9 chip architecture with Kryo 780 cores and the Adreno 730 GPU. This chipset is also set to bring the updated and latest X65 5G Modem and FastConnect 6900 chip bundled with Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 6E connectivity. The chipset is expected to debut in the second half of this year
