New Apple Watch Series 6 comes to India at just Rs 40,000 onwards
"This is the most colourful lineup ever." Said by Jeff Williams, COO. Apple Watch Series 6 will come in a new blue aluminium, new graphite and new product red colour. Series 6 is packed with amazing new capabilities that can measure blood oxygen directly using the watch in just 15 seconds. This ability of Apple Watch to monitor blood oxygen seems to beat similar feature already available on watched from other brands like Firbit Inc. Apple claims that its absolute blood oxygen measurement feature will measure the oxygen level on-demand while the user is still while Fitbit's watches currently show either variations in blood oxygen levels or some set of measurements while the user is sleeping.
As we all know that Apple Watch is already loaded with features like ECG, heart-rate monitor, sleep monitor and fitness tracking. With the new blood oxygen feature, the company has partnered with various health organisations to identify how blood oxygen and heart rate can help you stay healthy.
Here is the fun part, Memoji has also come to the watch with Series 6. They move every time you move. Not only this, for promoting healthy habits like hand wash. Series 6 watch can also detect when users are washing their hands. "The hand washing detection mechanism works by recognizing the motion and sound when washing your hands and the watch's display encourage you to continue washing for about 20 seconds. Apple also for the first time offered a way to use an Apple Watch without pairing it one-to-one with an iPhone, offering what it called "Family setup".
Apple Watch Series 6 will cost customers Rs 40,900 for the GPS model and Rs 49,900 for the GPS + Cellular model. Also, new Apple Watch bands are coming soon through Apple Authorised Reseller. Solo Loop and braided Solo Loop in Red will be available in late October. These new bands will be compatible with Apple Watch series 4 and later. Apple's commitment to the environment, there are industry leading amount of recycled content in the Apple Watch Series 6, with 100 per cent recycled rare earth elements in the Taptic engine, nearly 100 percent recycled tungsten throughout the product.
