Elon Musk is now officially the "Technoking" of Tesla and chief financial officer Zach Kirkhorn, the “Master of Coin”.

The tech tycoon officially filed the change of titles with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Monday. Neither Musk nor Kirkhorn has provided any explanation regarding this eccentric change of titles.

Regardless of this, Musk and Kirkhorn will also maintain their respective positions as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer as concluded in the filing.

Musk has recently lost the title as the World's richest man when Tesla's stocks fell in February as a result of his own outrageous tweet claiming that Tesla's stocks were "too high". He has the reputation of a "practical joker" who is always pushing the limits and finding innovative futures and possibilities where others fail to.

Tesla also revealed last month that it had purchased $1.5 billion of bitcoin and would soon accept it as a form of payment for cars, sending the price of the world's most popular cryptocurrency soaring. This may explain the title, "Master of Coin".
