The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has introduced Free high-speed WiFi for all the commuters of the Airport Express line. People can get connected to WiFi once they are on board. Airport Line is the first to get Free WiFi service later all other lines will be included as well.

People, those who want to connect to high-speed  WiFi can follow these steps:

1. Go To WiFi settings and Search for "METROWIFI_FREE" and log in.
2. When you have successfully connected, you will be asked to sign in "METROWIFI_FREE". You need to log in using your mobile number.
3. Then your phone number will be verified using an OTP.

The Airport Line is the fastest running metro for a distance of 22 KM having six stations – New Delhi, Shivaji Stadium, Dhaula Kuan, Delhi Aerocity, IGI Airport and Dwarka Sector 21. You can use this WiFi service when you are traveling in between two stations.

NOTE: You will not be able to use this WiFi service if you are at the station. This only works when you are in between two stations.

For stations, there are separate WiFi access points named "Our DMRC Free Wi-Fi". You can connect to this WiFi the same way which is used to connect to "METROWIFI_FREE".

As we have stated, initially DMRC has launched this service in Airport Line including Blue Line (50 stations) only, other Metro lines will soon be added. DMRC first launched WiFi services in the six metro stations on the Airport Express Line in 2016. In 2017 they followed it up with offering WiFi on the Blue Line.
