apple launch event

Unusually for a recent Apple event, it isn’t exactly clear what the company plans to announce.  Apple’s launch event is officially underway. It seems like only yesterday since we got some big software updates and the ARM bombshell. It is amazing how time flies by, which is ironically the name of today event, ‘Time Flies’.

The Apple event is taking place virtually very soon, where the Cupertino company is expected to unveil the new generations of the Apple Watch and iPad Air and a new subscription bundle. The event that Apple calls “Time flies” is likely to see the launch of the Apple Watch Series 6. That data is designed to keep you motivated - and with Fitness+ you choose the workout you want from the catalog of videos and it starts the workout right on your watch and shows the metrics from the Watch to the screen you're watching on. When the trainer tells you to check your heart rate, the heart rate automatically becomes larger. A timer will show how long left in an interval - and your rings being closed in the workout, it'll show right on screen too.

1. Apple Watch Series 6

One of the key announcements at the Apple event today would be the Apple Watch Series 6. The next-generation smartwatch by the Tim Cook-led team is rumored to have a built-in blood oxygen meter to measure oxygen levels — alongside offering pulse tracking and heart rate monitoring. You can also expect a faster processor to deliver enhanced performance. Further, the new Apple Watch is likely to retain the 40mm and 44mm sizes that debuted with the Series 4 in 2018. It would also feature an always-on display that was first seen on the Series 5 in the lineup last year.

2. Apple Watch SE

"It's a feature that's become common on even inexpensive fitness trackers, and seems like a natural addition for a device that already has heart rate monitoring and an ECG." Alongside the Apple Watch Series 6, Apple is rumored to have plans for the affordable model that it could call the Apple Watch SE. This new model is likely to make the competition tougher for the likes of Fitbit, Huawei, and Samsung that all have provided a range of smartwatches to counter the Apple Watch lineup

3.iPad Air 4 pro

The iPad Air is back again, and the latest rumors suggest it'll be dropping the home button for a more iPad Pro-like design. The third announcement that would take place at today's Apple event would be around the new iPad Air that is likely to be the successor to the iPad Air 3 that debuted in March last year. The new model could feature a design similar to that of the iPad Pro family and offer a larger screen-to-body ratio.

4. New iPad

This hasn't been rumored much, but some sources are claiming we may see an updated iPad model in the mix today.

5. Apple One

Apart from the new products, Apple is likely to spill the beans on its unified subscription offering that would be called the Apple One. It would also add Apple News+ to the bouquet in the next tier. Moreover, Apple may offer an enhanced iCloud storage

Ideology

Companies including Google and Microsoft have offered service bundling for their subscription-based services in the past. However, Apple may leverage its strong presence in the hardware world to scale its unified subscription offering.

6.iPhone12 models

Apple's iPhone 12 event may have been delayed this year, but we're set to hear about new gadgets from the company at a live-streamed keynote set to take place later today. Apple isn't likely to unveil any new smartphones today.

7.Apple AirTags

It may finally be happening – these Tile-like location trackers are designed to help you keep an eye on things like your keys or purse, and some rumors suggest they're finally launching today.

8. iOS 14iPadOS 14 / watchOS 7 / macOS 10.16

Apple often uses its iPhone event at the start of September to announce the exact release dates for its upcoming software.

Conclusion

Apple has already confirmed that the phone will be delayed by "a few weeks” in a call with investors. But it remains to be seen whether Apple will reveal or even mention the new phone at this event, or hold another later on to show it off. Additionally, the rumour mill has also believed that the Apple event will include the launch of an affordable Apple Watch version that could be possibly called the Apple Watch SE
