A recently revealed US Patent has cleared out the fact that Apple is working on foldable iPhones and iPads. But, Apple can out with a new kind of approach to create a foldable device. Apple is working on flexible batteries for foldable iPhones and iPads. As we all are aware of the fact that, everyday smartphone brands release a new beast with some high-performance configuration and high power consumption. New devices nowadays come with a large battery.

Batteries are rigid and so when placed in foldable smartphones they affect the flexibility of devices. The battery placement has always a big issue in manufacturing a smartphone and foldable flexibility of foldable smartphone like Samsung Galaxy Fold, due to its inflexible design and big size. 

Apple is going to introduce an iPhone and iPad with a flexible battery so that it can stand out from the other foldable smartphones. The latest of Apple's patent shows various ways to create flexible or bendable batteries. One of the design shows a flexible battery with stress-relieving gaps that will let the battery easily bend.

If Apple launches a foldable iPhone or iPad with this foldable battery technology. The product will surely outclass other foldable smartphones like Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X.
