Redmi will soon launch a gaming phone with Dimensity 1200 chipset
Lu Weibing, General Manager of Redmi had teased the company's upcoming gaming phone a couple of months ago. Since then, there haven't been further revelations. Now, the Weibo tipster, Digital Chat Station has revealed a few key points on Redmi's mysterious gaming phone.
The device would feature a flat OLED panel with a tiny punch-hole design for the selfie camera on the front. This is similar to Mi 11 and Redmi K40 which boast Samsung's brand new E4 panel. It will carry the Dimensity 1200 chipset backed by a 5,000mAh battery.
It will supposedly support 65W fast charging which is considered enough to give zero to full charge in just 30 minutes. Moreover, the phone will likely attach physical shoulder triggers for an enhanced gaming experience.
A possible price range was also revealed which was something amounting to CNY 2,000-2,500 ($300-380) making it one of the cheapest gaming phones on the market.
