Lenovo has unveiled its latest set of Smart Glasses named Lenovo ThinkReality A3
Lenovo has now unveiled its new set of futuristic smart glasses at CES 2021. The product name of the smart glasses is Lenovo ThinkReality A3 AR smart glasses. The glasses come with stereoscopic 1080p displays that can show the user up to five displays virtually. According to Lenovo, the ThinkReality A3 can be used for visualization, Augmented Reality (AR) assisted workflows, customized virtual monitor, and immersive training. The smart glasses will be out across the world by mid-2021 for anyone who was to make the purchase, but there is no information regarding the price as of yet.
If we go by the looks, the Lenovo ThinkReality A3 glasses look like a weird set of sunglasses. It's by no means looks delicate but the frame can be enhanced with industrial standards for a more durable product. The glasses have the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR1 SoC as their brain. It has a dual eye fish-eye camera for room-scale tracking and another 8MP one that can provide 1080p videos.
Even though the glasses will not be out for purchase until mid-2021, you can opt for 'Notify Me' featured on their website.
Lenovo has claimed that these smart glasses are a part of a comprehensive integrated solution to deliver intelligent transformation in business and bring smarter technology to more people. Thr company has also said that at a time when covid has hit business on multiple level by reducing contact, the glasses can be a viable counterpart that will help transform work across many levels.
“Whether working in virtual spaces or supporting remote assistance, the ThinkReality A3 enhances workers' abilities to do more wherever they are,” said Jon Pershke, Lenovo Vice President of Strategy and Emerging Business, Intelligent Device Group, in a statement.
ThinkReality A3 comes in mainly two editions ie the PC edition and Industrial Edition. The glasses tether to a PC or select Motorola devices using a USB Type-C cable.
ThinkReality A3 PC Edition
The ThinkReality A3 PC Edition tethers to a laptop or mobile workstation. It let users position large, multiple monitors in its field of view and utilize the Windows software tools and applications.
ThinkReality A3 Industrial Edition
The ThinkReality A3 Industrial Edition Industrial Edition on the other hand tethers to select Motorola smartphones and allows users to participate in hands-free, AR-supported tasks. It is supported by the ThinkReality software platform.
