With Android 10, Google has demolished call recording by default and on coming May 11, Google, is implementing a new Google Play policies that will prevent third-party apps from accessing the API that is responsible for recording calls.

As per company, these changes are in view of privacy and security as call recording laws across the world vary quite a bit. However, system, and pre-installed apps will continue to access this API.

Pixel's and Xiaomi's dialers, for example, are two exceptions to the rule. This is considered a native call recording functionality. And although Google didn't disclose plans on taking care of those as well, we would assume that some additional policies will be implemented in the future.
