The abbreviation "VPN" refers to a service that safeguards your Internet connection as well as your privacy while you are using the internet. It does this by creating an encrypted tunnel for your data, protecting your online identity by disguising your IP address, and enabling you to utilize public Wi-Fi hotspots without risking your personal information.

Leading suppliers of virtual private networks such as Surfshark, NordVPN, and ExpressVPN withdrew their servers from the Indian market the previous week. The virtual private networks (VPNs) have claimed that the cybersecurity directives that were issued on April 28th, 2022 by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team would render their privacy-oriented business model meaningless because the directives require them to log details of all of the individuals who access their servers.

On June 28th, 2022, these guidelines will become law and be enforced. However, CERT-mandate In's has been faced with strong opposition from a variety of other technology enterprises. This is because these businesses believe that this is only the beginning of the repercussions, and that it will not be restricted to the closure of VPNs alone.
