Sony is back again with its “Play at Home” initiative that encourages people to stay at their homes during the pandemic, while they keep gaming. Writing in a blog post, Sony states how the past 12 months have been difficult for everyone and wants to give back to the community. This is the second initiative on part of Sony, the first one being launched last year in April.

Last year, Sony gave away Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey for a limited time and for free. This year it is supposed to be Ratchet and Clank which came out in 2016.

It will be available for free download from 2nd March at 7 am GMT, to 1st April at 4 am BST. Players can keep their downloads forever and there is no need for a  PlayStation Plus subscription too. The selection of the game seems quite thoughtful as the Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart releases on PS5 this June, if you are lucky enough to have access to the console.

Apart from this, Sony also plans on launching an extended access program on Funimation where you will get 14 plus 90 days of trial if you have an account signed up. This is supposed to start on 25th March.

In the post, Sony also states this being just the beginning of what is to come next as a part of the free offer program.
