Earlier this week, Android 12 beta 1 Build was released and OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro are the first handsets to be compatible to recieve it. The Tech Company announced the rollout and all the details regarding the update to the latest beta in a form soon after Android 12 beta was announced by Google. However, after many complaints of bricking by the users on upgrading to Android 12 beta, the company decided to pull the beta link. For now, they said that company is looking into the matter, and now the update is not available yet for OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro users.

Moreover, a OnePlus staff member commented on the same form that the company has "temporarily removed the download links based on the feedback from users in this thread.” He added, “I'm sharing the feedback with the software team so they can look into it in the morning at HQ.” While the staff member did not offer details of the feedback received, the early comments section is filled with users complaining of bricking issues after updating to Android 12 beta.

However, we got some good news for the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro users. Max Weinbach, Android Police, has detailed a fix to this issue for the early adopters of the Android 12 beta softwares. Users can opt for an EDL restore, meaning restoring your phone with a factory image using a Qualcomm chipset-level flash. To restore the using EDL, users can refer to the XDA Developers guide. Furthermore, he also warns users to make sure to unlock their phone's bootloader before installing the beta.

Till third-party OEMS iron out all the bumps, its best to stay away from the Android 12 beta build for a while.  Other brands such as Realme, Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi are among the first to offer Android 12 beta-supported smartphones.
