Facebook messenger is going to have Bill Split Feature
Facebook now known as Meta (parent company) is working on a new feature for Messenger, which is the bill split feature. We have seen this feature first in Hike, and now Meta is integrating this feature in Messenger.
This feature will let you split your expenses among two or more people without any debate. Everyone will get to know their contributing amount easily.
To split the bill, all you need to do is click on the "Get Started" button in a group chat or the Payments Hub in Messenger. Then, you can split the bill evenly among the group or modify the contribution amount for each individual with or without including yourself.
After setting us things, you can send a personalised message to elaborate things related to this bill. Once you send the message, the bill will be viewable to all group members as a chat thread.
Meta will begin testing the new feature in the US starting next week, but it's unclear when it will expand to other regions.
Apart from this new bill split feature, Meta will also be adding AR-based Group Effects to Facebook Messenger, created in partnership with King Bach, Emma Chamberlain, Bella Poarch, and Zach King.
