OPPO is reportedly planning to launch EVs in India in 2023 and 2024, with the first immolation coming in the form of an affordable electric scooter.

Tipster Yogesh Brar has participated in some details about the OPPO EV launch (via 91mobiles) revealing that the plans for it are still in the early stages, meaning the launch timeline is uncertain at the moment and may indeed be pushed forward. OPPO is also aiming for a price range of around Rs. for the electric scooter, which puts it in a league of its own considering most scooters presently bring over a lakh.

Also, the company is also working on a Tata Nano-suchlike compact auto. Numerous of you'll recall that the Nano was launched at a starting price of just a lakh, and if OPPO is indeed to make an auto as compact as this one, it'll probably make it relatively affordable as well. This gets relatively apparent with the fact that OPPO is designing both the electric auto and scooter substantially for the intracity commute. Consequently, the brace will probably offer a limited range and top pets.

The company has supposedly formerly started holding addresses with manufacturers for batteries and other factors. Some of these companies indeed supply corridors to brands like Tesla – which makes sense considering electric vehicles are a first for OPPO, and the company would want to start effects right.

Lately, it was revealed that OPPO had applied for a trademark back in 2018 for a variety of electric vehicles, along with other BBK Electronics accessories Realme, OnePlus, and Vivo. This could mean that the company might be the first in multiple Chinese tech companies looking to enter into the Indian EV space.
