Xiaomi finally announced the final release date for Mi Band 4 at an event in China on June 11. A new teaser gives us a clear hint of new features as a fitness tracker. Xiaomi’s wearables may not offer top-end tracking tech that you might find in Fitbit. But, Xiaomi offers a decent amount of feature in their wearables almost in the budget.
Xiaomi Mi Band 4 Release Date and Price
An event is scheduled for June 11, and a teaser image from the company made it very clear that we’ll be hearing details about the Mi Band 4. Be sure to check back on June 11 for the first details of the fitness tracker. That event is just scheduled for China though, so it may be we have to wait a while until we hear about it coming to the US, UK or Australia. As for price, we don’t currently know. You can expect this to be cheaper than a lot of other fitness trackers. For example, the Mi Band 3 started at $30 / £25 / AU$35.
What we are going to see in the event
Last year’s tracker featured a 110mAh cell, while this new version will likely be a 135mAh. That’s likely to help power the color display on the tracker and ensure that it can still last for weeks from a single charge. We’ve also seen a Bluetooth certification listing for the device, listing two models, both of which support Bluetooth 5 and one of which also supports NFC. It’s worth noting that a Chinese version of the Mi Band 3 also supported NFC for contactless payments, so this isn’t a new feature as such, and may not be widely available.
we can be pretty certain the company will include a heart rate monitor and an OLED display on the Xiaomi Mi Band 4. It’s also likely to be water resistant up to 50 meters – although the company may push that even further with its next tracker – and we expect to see strong battery life as the Mi Band 3 could run for 20 days from a single charge.
Xiaomi Mi Band 4 might have integrated GPS tracker in the wearable band. With more colored straps and designer look.
