Tech giant Google has confirmed that they won't be releasing its own smartwatch under the brand name WearOS this year. Many were expecting smartwatch so called - " Pixel Watch " likely to be released along with Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL. The Google's event is to be expected on 9th October, 2018 in New York city.\r\n\r\nWell, the report is confirmed by Tom's Guide and there is no doubt left now. Confirming the news with the company after interviewing one of its executives. Here's how the conversation goes:\r\n\r\nMiles Barr, Google\u2019s director of engineering for Wear OS, said Friday during an interview that Google has no plans to release a smartwatch this year.\r\n\u201cTo think of a one-size-fits-all watch, I don\u2019t think we\u2019re there yet,\u201d Barr said. \u201cOur focus is on our partners for now.\u201d\r\nAfter the interview, Google confirmed that it will not release a smartwatch this year.\r\n\r\nInstead, as Barr says, it looks like Google is going to put as much focus as possible on watches. The Fossil Group, one of the biggest watch company partnered with Google. Also Several smartwatches were just announced a IFA this week, including watches from Skagen, Casio, and Diesel. All of those are running on an older Qualcomm processor.\r\n\r\nUntil this news, hopes had been high that Google was ramping up to a big smartwatch launch \u2014 it just revamped Wear OS and Google Fit.
