It’s been a long time since the USA-China trade war. Finally, Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has come up with a new phone in the market. This new smartphone Huawei’s Mate 30 contains no US parts at all.
Huawei appears to have found non-American suppliers for several critical components. This Chinese smartphone brand relying entirely on its own Hisilicon semiconductor division for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chipset. Also, using components from other companies like Japan’s Murata and Taiwan’s MediaTek.
Huawei has a clear preference to continue to integrate and buy components from U.S. supply partners. Huawei has no choice but to find an alternative supply from non-US sources. The company claims that they had been stockpiling components and separate teardown reveal that some newer devices are still reliant on American parts. Huawei’s Mate 30 Pro 5G uses chips from Qualcomm and Texas instruments. Company will be making big moves to diversify its supply chain. Well, Huawei is entirely capable of manufacturing high-end smartphone without American suppliers. But there is one big question that arises in everyone’s mind, whether anyone outside chine will buy Huawei’s smartphone.
