As per media, Google is going to release its first Chrome OS tablet. Google Pixel Slate Chrome OS Tablet is the suggested name. Pixel Slate is likely to support Dual Boot technology. This will allow users to boot Windows 10 along with default OS.
Google will certify “Pixel Slate” to run Windows 10. Google is working on Dual boot support for Google Chromebooks from past. As per past rumors, Google’s ‘AltOS’ also called As “Project Campfire” is likely to create a Dual Boot environment on Chrome OS. This would help Chromebooks to run Windows 10 and Chrome OS at the same time.
The Pixel Slate is reportedly the name of the new Google Chrome OS tablet, Android Police’s David Ruddock reported last week. The Tablet is likely to have codename as Nocturne. It-is expected to pass the Windows Hardware Certification Kit (WHCK) and Windows Hardware Lab Kit (HLK) certification. This enables the device to feature two operating systems.
According to Windows reports, Google has renamed its ‘AltOS’ to “Dual Boot”. This suggests that Google is going to introduce Dual Boot to its Google Pixel Slate. According to a report by 9To5Google, which cites another Chromium code commit, claims mention of Windows 10 and Nocturne together. It adds that the commit doesn’t necessarily mean that the Pixel Slate will be able to dual-boot the two operating systems.
