Google has announced Project Stream, a game streaming service that it is calling a “technical test”. The aim of the service is solving the issues around interactive video streaming. The company has partnered with Ubisoft to stream Assassin’s Creed Odyssey to a test group of users. Streaming through the Chrome browser on a laptop or desktop.

When streaming TV or movies, consumers are comfortable with a few seconds of buffering at the start. But streaming high-quality games requires latency measured in milliseconds, with no graphic degradation.
